Timer to turn pumps on in 5-10 minutes?

I am interested in finding a timer, or a circuit for such a timer, where I would press a switch which would turn off my skimmer pump and then turn it back on automatically after 5-10 minutes. I would use this at feeding time to keep the food from being sucked out of the main tank for a few minutes. Anybody have a plan for such a timer?

Just watch the timer you get. You must have the NC one for it to work the way you want it to.

Hey John - sweet setup! Just one thing about those timers though - be careful because some of the switches can be switched into the permanent on position with a twist. I know that my whole house fan will occasionally do that.

My AC Jr should be at my house before I get home tonight. Once I figure out the programming I will use it to control my pumps on the new tank.

Thanks for the link to your article. That is exactly what I was looking for. I did not realize that Intermatic had SPDT timers.
