Tiny Snails help

Well I just spent 2 hours after lights out finding small snails all over in my tank. I plucked 4 out and want to find out what they are, does anyone have a picture of the bad little snails that attack clams? I will attempt to get a pic and post it.

It's not uncommon for snails to reproduce and for the little snails to be light-avoiding during their early career. Don't panic, I have the same situation with a clam in the tank.

well they are definitely not parasitic pyramid snails with the elongated shell, they look more like baby turbo snails, the shell is definitely not long and thin, but more round like a turbo shell.

The shell type that aztbs link shows is exactly the same, however the pattern on the shell is slightly different. Some have a much darker shell and some have an opaque shell.

Warnberg,
You said you pulled a few from the tank? Did they break off part of their body when threatened? Sounds like Stometella(I think). They also can be seen squirting a fluid like substance from their nostrils/ mouth, which is said to be beneficial the reef. I could be wrong, but I originally confused Stometella for baby turbos. BTW, if that is what you have, they will continue to reproduce, I have tons of them.....No problems for me, I put as many as I could catch in my fuge to help them reproduce safely...

Nice Avatar....Is that what we are going to see this year?????
Oh yeah, back to the post....More than likely lcollonista snails.
Hard to tell without a pic though.

Jason, that is what I'm trying to figure out is if they are indeed a "problem" of not. They are not Stometella and they are not pyramid snails.... Let me see if I can get a pic posted... if one turned out.

Those things are a pain in the a** only when washing my filter bags. If i don't pour them out first, my washer would be full of em'.
