Tips and Tricks on Creating Amazing Aquascapes

I've gone through almost every page on this thread. I'm starting a 75 gallon tank but I haven't bought my rock yet. After looking at all these beautiful pictures of aquascaping, i'm so afraid of what mine will look like. lol

Hey everyone

I was thinking of changing my aquascape but was wondering can I lean the LR against my back wall, positives negatives to doing this. And thoughts please and any advice

Thankyou all

If you lean a rock against the wall you cannot clean the wall well. If you don't plan to clean the wall that is OK but if you don't want distraction and keep the wall clean, then it is a major problem.

Made a few minor changes and I think I will stick with this...

Just set up a new tank and I am new to marine tanks, I've set up the live rock and when things settled down added some crabs, snails and a few bits of coral. Before I add any fish I wanted some opinions from other people to see what they thought and what other corals they think would be a good addition. Also the names of the ones I already would be really useful.

Thanks

Finally got the rocks inside the tank. Any comments? I am in the process of securing it with epoxy but I can still adjust some things if needed.

Maybe point the piece on the right towards the front a little bit...it could help give the perception of depth.

Other than that, your rock is rocking! No, seriously....looks good.

Just finished changing things around the other day. Let me know what you guys think or if you have any advice. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1381274510.064597.jpg

Advice on how to stick the right pillar of the left side formation..

Advice on how to stick the right pillar of the left side formation..

The left side is solid. The top right is unsteady at best. Normal putties suck. Any advice? The base part of the left structures right outcrop is really solid.

Edit: Sorry, I intend to bridge the two pillars on the left structure to create another higher tunnel, the piece of rock has been puttied (is that even a word?) and is drying now.

Cheers.

I think it is called d&d aquscape putty from ebay. It doesn't seem to get tacky enough, quickly enough.

The best I have found is water weld from home depot. If you microwave it for 25 seconds before you mix it it sticks really well and dries hard as a rock. I also add super glue to the outside to stick it while it cures. You can also drill a hole in the rock and put a fiberglass rod through it or tie wrap it. If you put the tie wrap through the pillar and up the back side you wont even see it. If you do it is alright as they get covered in coraline.

Just set up the aquascape on my rimless 36x24x24 90gal a couple of days ago. Any critique is welcome.
