You guys that are using Tie-wrap's I would like to know if you have ran into any problems with them becoming brittle over time? I know that Black wire ties have a UV resistance over the white/clear ties but I am looking at the longevity of the ties on some of the aquascapes. Has anyone had a problem with them breaking and your scape crashing down?

my 120 gal. fowlr. cycle is complete. waiting for my cuc. hate looking at the brown diatoms.

Just set up the aquascape on my rimless 36x24x24 90gal a couple of days ago. Any critique is welcome.

Nice job. I like your proportions horizontally and vertically as well as the open sand. My only thought would be to angle your right hand structure which might create more visual depth through parallel lines for your canyon.

Thanks, I will try that.

Hi everyone!

Well, I thought I would jump in and join the conversation. This is my current setup, it is a Juwel Rio 240. Please ignore the cloudy water, I suspect since it is a new tank, I'm having a bacteria spike and it will settle in a couple of days :)

I've attempted to arrange the rocks as naturally as possible, while giving consideration to my babies - there are heaps of little caves and places within the rocks for them to hide or go to sleep, so it was pretty important that while it was natural, it should also have ample hiding spaces.

Any thoughts on the rock formation would be great!

Cheers
Matt

What do you guys think of mine so far?

Finished my rock work a few minutes ago. Turned out pretty good. Planning to start cycling this rock as soon as my skimmer shows up. The plan is to run tandem setups - so I will cycle the new tank and then transfer fish and coral over when it's ready. This should keep me from rushing anything.

Looks great!
What did you use to hold the rocks together?

Beautiful work, Ronnie. My only thought would be to make sure those fantastic four structures are set up in an asymmetrical pattern in your tank.

Thanks. I'll be sure to move them around so they don't form a box

I am trying to aquascape a 54g corner tank and was hoping I could get some help/reviews.

Any comments would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I'd make sure to leave at least 4" between rock and glass for flow and cleaning.

Also, I'd try to have one side set further back than the others.

I'd add some more to either side to bring the height up at least 12" somewhere. It just looks too low.
