Tips to get clowns to host in anemone

I have had this pair of clowns(false percs i believe) for over a year, the previous ownder had them for a little over a year as well. I have had BTA in there with them for at least 6 months, added another one about 3 months ago, and one of them split, so i have 3 BTA in there, they go near the anemone from time to time, but they usually host in zoanthids or mushrooms.

How can i get them to take to the anemone? or would i be better off in getting a new pair of clowns?

Pray and pray till u cant pray no more my brothaaa...

Its a hit and miss with some clowns even within the same species. All fish are different.

Good luck

thanks for the reply, search never works for me, and the google search is kinda tricky to get good results from

i think your bet is much better with WC verse CB clowns. My clarkii/sebae -- not sure of what it is since it was mislabelled -- jumped in my BTA 30 minutes after he was added to the tank.

MY female perc just started hosting my bta. It's been paired with onther male perc for about 4 month. The female perc is keeping the male from hosting the bta. everytime it comes close to the bta it nips at the male. When they are both swimning away from the bta they do their normal paired clown thing. I wonder if she will ever let him host too.

Clownfish looks for host when they are threaten. Some people got good luck when the use a basket and put the anemone with clownfish together in a confinded area. Just don't do it with S. haddoni, or you may be clownfish less after the S. haddoni got through with the clownfish.
