Tired of these Capnella's

Ok, I baught a tank that was well overrun with Kenya trees. Some were pretty decent size and I traded them to the LFS. I kept 2 nice healthy ones in there. The problme is, I continue to find small frags everywhere and they are a freaking pain. I really just want to go in an cut them off and throw them out, but is that im-moral? What can I do to stop these things from spreading?

There really is nothing you can do other than to remove all of them. It is a blessing and a curse -- lots to take in for store credit, but lots of time to constantly hunt them all down. Some of the members from the local club here give away frags for free because they have so many of them.

Nonetheless, if you want to remove them and throw them away, I wouldn't consider that immoral. The original one that started all that in the tank was probably from a frag in another tank somewhere, instead of being from the wild, so I wouldn't be concerned in the least about throwing them away if you have no one to sell, trade, or give them to.

If you are going to throw them away, I'd be happy to take 1 or 2 off your hands... PM me, and we can figure out how much I'll need to pay for shipping.

I just got my first capnella -- supposedly a tank-raised frag. Can anyone give me some "care and feeding" (light, flow, supplements, feeding, etc.) pointers? Sounds like they're hardy, at least!
