To buy or not to buy?! That's the question

Following. My LFS has a huge Zebra Eel in an open top tank. I'd love to know what keeps him from climbing out.

Mine was mellow.
Never bothered fish, shrimp could be a problem,
They are mostly nocturnal and mine only ate frozen shrimp.

Ok, I kept a snowflake eel an he was pretty hard work but he only got to about 2ft this guy is bigger an I think will have another foot or so of growing yet!

These guys only eat crustations?! My snowflake ate anything he could reach!!

Btw I don't think fish would be a problem with it, my main tank is a pred tank everything in there is venomous or knows how to look after it's self :)

if im not mistaken thats a moray eel that will eat anything you have in your tank if hungry enough. if you really want a eel get a golden dwarf moray eel they only grow to be about a foot in size and have a very small if any chance of eating its tank mates i almost convinced myself to buy one then thought about a expensive designer clownfish being its last meal.....lol notice i said LAST meal!

Zebra Eels are safe with other fish actually; more safe than Golden Dwarf Morays from what I have seen...

Have to agree here, I don't think zebras are As bad as others, yes they grow bigger but arnt generally that aggressive to 'eat everything in the tank' they usually go mad at food time I think though
