Hi Dr Foster, I just wanted to take a moment to comment on how much I appreciate the service and help I have been given over the last few weeks with regards to my last few orders. I have been a customer for some time now and I always enjoy praising your store within other individual’s threads that I just wanted to take a moment to start my own. I was particularly motivated to want to start this thread after reading the comments in the "Worst experience in my life" thread. I was especially appalled to learn that your manager Jaimie was treated rudely. I just want to take a moment to say that say that she was very helpful to me when there was some confusion regarding my order and she was very nice and explained things in a very professional manner, for which I am grateful for.
Being in college I don’t have an overt amount of money to allocate on the aquarium hobby as perhaps others may, but as a result of this I must choose wisely the places where I may ascertain the limited amount of goods I wish to purchase. Live Aquaria and DRSFOSTERANDSMITH has therefore been a company I can trust and count on for great help and service. Even when orders may not work out as planned, due to unforeseen expiration of specimens your company has been steadfast and true to upholding its guarantee. I am glad to see that such a talented and caring group of individuals are part of a hobby that is very dear to me. Thank you all for the great service support and commitment to partnership you all have shown me and countless others. I look forward to doing business with you all for many years to come. In fact I am receiving an order today!

I love this hobby the same as you do. There is more to the prior situation than can be viewed online and I apologize that you had to spend time reading an unproductive and unfortunate thread. I guess we both have to take the good with the bad when things are written in a public forum.
Moving on, please rest assured that I do appreciate all of you on this forum. ReefCentral is one of the most valuable tools the hobby and industry has ever had. We must use it properly to help and educate each other. I have as much to learn as anyone.

Thank you again for all of your help and kind comments. They are important to me.

I'd also like to thank DFS and LiveAquaria! I've been very impressed with your committment to good service and making the customer happy, and all without breaking the bank. As one who finds it difficult to get out shopping at LFS's, it is so nice to have an online source I can trust for both live and dry goods. Keep up the good work.
 
I also would like to tip my hat to this business. I have ordered and been well pleased, and I am willing now to even spend a little extra for their service than I would for a competitors products. Notice the difference in words folks- service- products- everybody has one few have the other. Now as far as MR Discontent goes- I spoke with him several times about the situation- and his story changed 3 different times. If he is lying to me while trying to mediate- then one can only imagine what he would do when there was actually someone with some power over the situation involved. The telling thing was I had to ask over and over again about the health and condition of the fish- this was the last thing cared about by the customer it seemed. All and all I think that situation was the best case scenerio for the Drs- they have shown that they will bend over backwards- yet still have enough backbone to do the right thing for their people and livestock- both will be better off for the blackballing.
 
I also received a PM from the disatisfied customer and I too have a hard time in accepting his account. I personally have read countless positive remarkd regarding LiveAquaria and it was the first store I ever used for online Live orders. They have proven to me and many others time and again that they are commited to great service which is why I keep going back. Generally most buisness are the ones to show appreciation for their customers but with a company as good as LA its the customers who would also like to show appreciation for such an awesome company!

Let me be the first to Thank Dr. Smith for running an awesome website and the best customer service company I have EVER seen not in fish sales but any business. Car Dealer Service centers needs to go to Wisconsin and take a 3 week seminar on Customer service from these guys...
 
After numerous purchases from F & S and LiveAquaria, I have had nothing but positive experiences. When there was any issue with an order, their customer service was superb and at times went well beyond my expectations, so a big thumbs up to them!
 
Same here, made a bunch of purchases. One including live rock, well packed and quickly shipped AND exellent Fiji rock:cool: .
 
I just recieved my first live stock mail order (first mail order ever) from liveaquaria. The coral I ordered is pretty much DOA, Probably weather related. However I feel they have gone through great lengths to make me a happy cliant by sending me a new coral.

I have to say I will definently do business again no matter the out come of the next arrival. I believe the conditon of the order was out of there hands. Friendly staff, willing to help, and just out of this world service unlike any other I've had before.

I don't think you can go wrong using live aquaria, which is exactly how they'd like us to feel. I don't think the same can be said about most lfs's.

1 week ago I received my first coral purchase from live aquaria, and I'm very impressed. I'm just 1 hour drive away from Reading, mhummel. The LFS has many coral (ECA, since you are nearby and might have visited them), but they appeared smaller, not as healthy, and on live rock that was often covered with hair algae. In the future, I'm likely to buy all my coral from them. I'm confident that if anything goes wrong, such as in your case, they will fix it.
 
Haven't heard of them. Specimen I was sent from liveaquaria has a very nice shape and no algea except for coraline. Would bea beautiful specimen if it would have survived shipment. Mal who is local has alot of hair alge and corals are brown.
Think I'll stick with liveaquaria.

I also would like to say how much I like Dr.Foster and Smith for the great products, and Liveaquaria.com for the beautiful majestic angelfish I got. It was my first fish to buy online, and it came home with flying colors. He is eating great and looks very healthy. I hate hearing of people that get fish that dont eat, or look really stressed when they come in. I will be ordering my next fish from you guys, and my order of food should be in this week. Keep up the great work!!

Nice to see the actual owners being gracious and thanking the customers. I would have to say thou that LA's customer service is what makes it such a good outfit to do business with. Also the species webpage layout is good too so don't ever update it to much.

Like you, I enjoy this hobby,---- especially the industry side. As large of a company as we may seem we are still privately owned and both Marty Smith and I are involved in every phase. We take your comments to heart just as we did in our beginnings 24 years ago, when I was 26 years old.

I frequent ReefCentral so that I may read and learn. Your feed back, both positive and negative, provides much more than I can glean from the old fashion surveys which are still typical of the direct marketing industry.

Please, all of you continue with your comments and concerns. I have a well respected staff in place to help you in virtually any capacity. I will take the good with the bad and through it all, find a way to serve you better. I will stay involved.
