to treat or not to treat sps

So Im looking for some advise and hopefully some first hand exp in treating tanks with anemones. I seem to have some sort of small black bug on my large orange monti cap. It has caused the center of it to bleach and I notice my small orange stony brain looks like something has been bothering it as well. I have been searching and searching and see in the sps forums that people are using interceptor for dogs to treat their tanks with great success and some have used Dr G's coral dip in their tanks as it seems to have the same main ingredients also with success. So I can either let my new dragon face pipe fish keep munching away and hope he can keep things at least under control somewhat or I can let the sps die off, which I think would take forever as it seems to be a very slow process or treat my tank and get rid of the little buggers. My concern is my ritteri and my blue gig. Ritteri with me over 2 years and blue gig about a year. I would feel so bad if I put something in there and they suffered from it. We all know how long it can be before finding good healthy anemones like this so and first hand exp with treating your tanks would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I never treat my tank before, just treat in HT so no first hand experience here.
Good luck. I got a double whammy with AEFW ans Moni eating Nudi in my tank 18 months ago. I elected to frag our some of my SPS, removed and discarded what I can and kill the rest. Leave my tank SPS free for 6 months until all the pest starved to death and restock. I would not be exaggerate if I value my Anemones at several thousands in term of money, but they valued a lot more to me than that.

You got to be sure what you treat, none of this "maybe". Best of luck.

Thanks Orion. I think I'm leaning toward maybe getting rid of or doing another small tank for the sps so I can treat there and like you say let the pests in the display tank starve out. So far its only my red monti and a small brain frag. maybe I got a double whammy as well, but it has been 5 months since the last sps was added to the tank. I thought at first maybe something was off with my water causing the bleaching since it had been so long and the fact i dip everything, but I noticed salt and pepper looking stuff on the monti and when I siphoned it off and looked, I could see the "pepper" was moving around in the glass.

What kind of dip did you use?

I haven't yet, but was looking into Dr. G's coral dip as it has the same ingredient as interceptor. Which I guess has been used with wide success, but can find not enough feed back with either treatment and anemones.
