dont worry he clean himself.... you will see peels after a while just make he has flows enough.... leathers do that from time to time.:fun2:

:sad2:he has a powerhead that's pushing water his way and also two hang on pumps that are pretty much getting the water stirred up all around him, I don't know why but its slanting over and doesn't seem to look so good..

always have the option to frag it... just cut a solid piece of the base off with the cap and place it... ive had leathers come back from just nubs of flesh...

is it a direct flowing to the sarcophyton??? leathers don't like that either they need flowing but not a direct flowing... if he stays closed you can put him somewhere else to try..

no its not a direct flow and I think hes upset because I kept moving him trying to get it in the perfect spot with the powerhead and all kinda hard..

just leave him then on his place.toadstools can being closing for days or even weeks... aslong he dont smell rotten i wouldn't be worried to much.
(sorry bout my english its not my motherlanguage)

he will look like he is starting to melt if he is dying. the limp look is also very normal. my old 18" leather used to shed a few times a year and it could take from days to a couple weeks before it would open up again.
