i know tomato clowns and carpet nems aren't natural hosts but don't want to risk a nem to sting my coral (towards the top of the tank) and love how clowns look with their anemone. Anyone have tomato clowns host carpet anemones? Thanks.

I would try a LTA instead of a carpet. I have seen plenty of tomatoes host LTA's, plus they stay on your sandbed, but thats not to say a tomato wouldnt host a carpet.

i have never seen a tomatoe in a carpet before but i am confused... are you under the impression that a carpet nem wont sting your corals, because it will... mine keeps my orange monti cap from growing any closer, and toasted half of my birdsnest colony when it fell into it

+1 on the LTA. They stay on the sandbed like a carpet but are a natural host for the tomato. I have a tomato that I have had for two years. I recently added an LTA and he took right to it :bounce3:

I'm not going to say that you're wrong, because there was a time when we didn't think that saddle backs lived in LTA's. Now we know that they do. If you have a link showing that LTA's are the natural host of Tomato clowns, I'd like to read it. Thanks.
