Tomato Clowns

I just saw a beautitful pair of Tomato Clowns at my LFS.

My questions:
Are they aggressive against other inhabitants? I have 2 sleeper head Gobies, 1 firefish and 1 Lemonpeel Angel.

Will they eventually host in a Haitan Purple Tip anemone?

thanks for any input

My tomato clown harassed my golden midas blenny. He eventually died and I blame the clown. He doesn't bother my coral beauty, powder blue, chromis' or niger trigger. Unless of course they get to close to his anemone, VERY protective of the anemone.

I can't comment on the Haitan anemone, mine is hosting a GBTA.

The natural host for a tomato is the BTA (Entacmea quadricolor). I would suggest you research this anemone as a possible host. And yes, tomato clowns are aggressive.

mine torments any thing smaller than him they can get quite aggressive once it hosted an anomene it had something else to do that helped mine alot it then left my firefish alone

It's not common for clowns to host in Haitian Anemeones but it has happened before. I agree with the BTA as a very good match up for the tomato clown and also agree on the aggression. Be wary that if they do pair up and eventually spawn that this aggression will dramatically increase.
