Tomatoe/Ocellaris breeding!

Jumping on the hybrid ethics bandwagon :)

I don't really have an issue with hybrids as long as they are handled responsibly and correctly labeled as such. Let's face it; where would the world be without mules? :)

I object more to breeders who (through poor breeding conditions, or random luck, or whatever) raise fish that differ substantially from the species holotype, and yet sell them as "true breed" fish. Those fish should be culled since they depart substantially from the holotype and would degrade the species over time.

Though I don't agree with the AKC in many areas, the way they support breed standards and conformation is one approach.

Ok i got some pics :) Alot of them only have 2 bars. Some have 3 and some are misbarred.

Hmmm why are the pics so small? Well anyway there in my gallery so you guys can check them out there for the bigger size :)

I had half a hatch last night so i guess the rest will hatch tonight. Kinda weird as i thought they all hatched together. Other than that the rest are growing nicely :)

Any recent pics? I am very curious how the older ones are starting to look. They should be a couple months old by now?

Im away till the 10th so no new pics till after that. Alot of them only have 2 bars and lack the tail bad. pretty cool to see :)

This is the first I read through 16 pages... it's definitely interesting, and if tomatolarises makes their way to Australia, can I say your name "Chris" three times and get a discount? :)

Keep up with the good work, I can't wait to see the mature version of these fish.
