Well I am debating...... I have a purple tang now that is about a year old and I have falling in love with a Tomini Tang in my LFS. Can these two go together without a battle?
Purple tangs are fairly aggressive. Tomini's are not, from my experience and what I have heard. Had it been the other way around, I'd say go for it. Can you remove the purple for a while?
no, I think it would be best not to even try if you know what I mean. I just have been reading mixed behaviors of the Tomini being either aggressive or passive.
My Tomini is pretty aggressive.... if you do decide to try it, I would recommend either relocating the purple and then placing the tomini if for a day or two before reintroducing... or
rearranging the rockwork when introducing the tomini, and leaving the lights off/dim for a day or two. that should cut back on the purple's aggression.
My purple tang is very aggressive. It went after my blue tang for two weeks before it finally calm down. Now the purple tang just ignore the blue tang. I think the key is keeping him well-fed.
