tomini tang being a pest to my new lawnmower blenny

Update....I went 2 days with lights out and I put the trap in the tank to get ready to catch the tomini, he must have got the hint because he hasnt bothered the blenny the last couple of days. fingers crossed..

Just put a lawnmower blenny in my tank and my bristletooth tomini is being a bully to him. Ive read it takes a few days and they will settle down, also taking the tang out for a few days and also going lights out for 2 days.Ive also read about putting a mirror on the side of the tank and another thread about putting a net in the tank for a couple of days. I would love to keep both of them. Will any of this work or does one of them need to hit the road?

I have a two spot Blennie that was in the tank first, but my Tomi tang still likes to chase him once in awhile, but after he retreats to his live rock cave it ends quickly and since it doesn't happen too often my Blennie seems fine and still has plenty of time to feed in peace:beachbum:

I have a question regarding the mirror trick becuase i have a Hogfish that i can't catch by anyway...

Do you guys use the mirror when you put the new fish or i can put it before so he can see himself and be less mean when the new fish arrives????

Thanks in advance...

You might try putting the new fish in a egg crate box or clear acclimation box when
You add him to the tank and see if your existing fish get used to the new one.....does that make since?

Yepppp. Agree. I will try that... Finally if i use the mirror, is it supposed to be the magnified one or just a simple mirror????

Thanks in advance...

I've never tried the mirror deal. I saw a video on you tube where a guy was trying ti catch a fish with a mirror and it stressed his tangs out.
