tomini tang not eating...

I bought a medium size Tomini tang last weekend and I have not seem him eat for 7 days now. He will pick stuff off the walls and rock, but nothing else.

I've tried soaking food in garlic, that hasn't worked. I bought dried seaweed and that hasn't worked either.
Anyone have any tips or tricks for getting him to start eating?

If he's picking stuff of the walls and rock he's probably in good shape. Not sure really, just wanted to mention that I was a member of the pike house beta gamma chapter at KU back in 97. Those were the days.

try attaching Nori to a piece of rock. he might ignore it the first couple times but eventually he will grab it and than love it.

I wouldn't worry too much yet. my tomini didn't eat anything I put in for like a couple of weeks too. He now eats NLS pellets but won't touch any nori that I put in. It took him like 2 weeks to start taking the NLS but he loves it now. As long as he's pickin at your rocks he's gettin something to eat.

Try wrapping mysids in nori like a Maki roll and rubber band that to a 1/2" pvc pipe. New tangs and angels can't resist it for long. I even dose vitamins this way during QT.

Tomini.. I have one in my 250. At first he did not eat also, Kind of hid in the rocks for days. Now, he is out in the open and eating a like a piggy. If he is new, I would not worry too much about it.
