Too late now. SPS Gone. Crab finished it off.

So i did everthing you guys suggested to do. Started a testing chart on this tank. Already did a water change the night prior. the only thing i was trying to do as well as getting this SPS to turn arround was get rid of a dinoflagellats problem. All i did was add some special blend that has nothing to do with my SPS going down hill. it will not save or hurt it. So the comment "dont reinvent the wheel" for trying to get dinoflagellats problem taken care of as well as trying to save my SPS. I dont know why I was getting the 3 degree for doing what you guys suggested?

I have asked minor question here before but i would have to say this was the least helpful of them all. I did not need a lession in how to own a fish tank.

Everthing that was suggested was already done or I did it. like start a chart.
I did it all. The one thing i was asking for was how to SAVE key word here SAVE the SPS. the only thing I heard was to frag it out if it gets too bad to save as much as i can.

Well this morning a noticed a hermit munching away on it. I would have to say its not going to make it. I fraged off what i could so I will see what happens.
 
well for 1 you started 3 threads on the exact same topic. That really isn't needed.

Secondly, you were getting all the correct information and responses as to how to save your sps. The problem is you weren't providing us with the proper information to allow anybody to give you a proper diagnostic. There is no "fix" or way to "save" an SPS (outside of giving it somebody else with a successful tank). The solution to saving SPS is finding out the CAUSE of the demise of your SPS. When you are asked, what all your water parameters are, your husbandry schedule is, and your equipment list. We are asking so we can look for things that might stand out as the cause. If your response to those questions is. "EVERYTHING IS FINE". Then it is impossible for anybody to give you a diagnostic. Clearly, everything is not fine. If that was the case the acropora would not be dieing. (well most of the time at least.)

I'm sorry if you are not happy with the experience you received when looking for assistance but I can assure you everybody in the other 2 threads as well as my self was trying our best to assist you.
 
WXB. I'm sorry if my comment was not helpful to you but it was simply a suggestion to listen to the advice that other people have gracefully given in response to your situation.

It seems like you need a lesson on how to keep a successful reef tank, how to be polite and most of all how not to be a little snot. This is all on you. It's your tank, you killed that coral, no one else. Learn the hobby and quit blaming others for the problems you get yourself into.

Reef keeping is fortunately a choice, you can quit anytime you like. Life on the other hand is not a choice and if you continue to go about it by blaming others for your inferiorities, then you're going to continue to be a miserable snot.

Slow your roll, Dr. Phil. And what specific title should you be tagged with for being so hostile and disparaging? You sound like you're full of yourself talking to people like that. You're the one that needs a lesson in manners, calling the kettle black and all.
 
WXB, sorry you lost your corals but by the time you asked for help they looked like toast. We all asked questions to try to help you, it was not meant to be harsh. In reality the time to ask question is before do something.

That said, many of us have been where you are. Learn from your mistakes. Hopefully you did not spend a lot on the two corals you lost. Take the advice that was given, go slow, and start with a few small easy SPS and go from there. Good luck!
 
Might have missed it on the other threads but what were your numbers for calcium alk and mag again?
 
You have to remember its a forum people help other people out here because they want to they don't have to. they have a passion for this hobby, and want to see others do well with it. Just because your frag died doesn't mean it is the posters on rc fault what they tell you may not help you they are just stating what has helped them. don't be such a negative nancy :)
