tools for measuring salinity

That would be it, although there is another one, same thing but has a light and since getting the one with the light I find that I never use the non lighted one anymore.

Built in light definately worth the extra price.

Those are nice but they are not the end all tool for checking salinity. I would say a Conductivity meter is better. But for the price and ease of use, they are very good.

Lick test. Simple, accurate, nice.

You know your a reef geek when you go around tasting each others tanks. *coughronandrogercough*

That link is to this thread Ron, heh.. at least thats where it goes from here. When I said end all, I meant affordable end all. :) I will assume anything that link goes to will be too much!

I like using a refractometer, but my eyes are so bad I have to run around trying to get under the the proper light to read it. I think Mary may have the right idea with the lighted refractometer. If I wasn't so poor from paying Matt's outrageous salary, I'd buy one for myself.

Hey the lighted one was only 49.99 when I got it. Don't know if I can still get them for that or not.

But I could try. But this time I would need the money the day before I actually placed the order.
