Top 25 SPS Corals

I only have 4 of those top 25...Looks like I need to go shopping?

Go shopping? I do not think so. Keeping up with the Jones may not be the best
way to enjoy the hobby.

I have a feeling some of these top 25, in two years ,will be yesterday's news
due to everyone having them and new hot ones will replace it.

I like to think that anything that is not brown and looks good could be on any
top 25. Yellow, red, blue, or whatever are all desirable to me. I am also not a
big fan of lots of blue in my lighting so I have to wonder what a lot of these
corals would look like in my tank anyway. A lot of pics I see even the sand and
rock are not the correct colors so who knows what they may look like in person
in my tank.

With that said I am seeking out some of these listed in this thread but I refuse
to pay 40-80 dollars for a frag. Try 10-20 dollars max. I like finding deals. For example
ORA corals that have browned out and are on sale or when a nice coral is doing bad
at a LFS (tissue recession at the base) I will ask for a discount when they chop it up.

I also agree with another poster. Green slimer is really nice looking and what about a nice
birdsnest coral. Both are common but look really nice. Probably not top 25 material due to
being common.

I'm with you on the savings and was kidding on getting them all;) I'm still looking for an Ice Fire and pink lemonade in my area. How to find at a frag swap where I can trade off some of my frags for. If I'm trading off two frags for one of them it does not hurt me as much considering I'm getting what I want for my diligent work of fragging/growing my coral out!

I agree , todays top 25 will be replaced rapidly with new stuff .

Im familiar with all but
What is red dragon?

I think anything thats growin good and isnt brown looks nice. Ill agree some of sps looks nicer than others sure. AS far as monti's i think they have to be on a totally seperate list. Lot of cool ones out there

The funny thing is locally we can get a coral that looks exactly like this one for $25-$30, but it is not called "red dragon". I guess the name makes it 10x more...

Some of these are timeless and will be top 25 for years to come. I have yet to see an echinata as nice as the true icefire. The purple monster has been around since the 90's ,still on many want lists. A few I really like.

Purple Monster
Icefire echinata
Monti setosa(so underated, so unique in color and growth.)
GC's ultimate efflo
ff snowcone prostrata
clints red stag
Oregon tort
garf bonsai
Red Dragon
lokani
granulosa
rambleri
pink lemonade

Generally speaking most of the corals that have been mentioned are blue, purple, pink, red, green, orange. And they are all good. But what about yellow, been looking for one, and am not talking about neon greenish but more of bright yellow (more like a yellow tang)…..
