Top off containers - in family room

Hey all,

Been tired of seeing a 5 gallon bucket next to my tank. Have been looking into containers that LOOK good. Does anyone have ideas?

I saw this online via amazon but doesn't that seem expensive? Should i be expecting this price or is it possible to build your own?

That's cheap. Acrylic is expensive. The workmanship on that thing is ugly however. They didn't even router off the lid let alone flame polish it.

Yeah i was thinking about buying a small tank then finding some piece of furniture to put it in

$119! Go to petco where they are having $1 gallon sale and buy a piece of plexi from HD or Lowes as a top

I have a 10gal tank from petco as my ato tank. Works great

Why not have a small ottoman with storage next to the tank and just put the reservoir in the storage area? I've seen a lot of people do this and it usually looks really clean.

This! Or at least something like it. There are many things that can be done to hide the top off storage. I've seen them hidden in planters and cheap Ikea style end tables too. Many just use 5gal buckets hidden in these items.

I've been looking for one of the small whiskey barrels to hide mine in

You could also mine it to the basement and use a litermeter 3 ATO.
