I wonder if this was triggered by temperature?

(June is when a lot of corals spawn in the coral triangle)
Whatever the case, my big anemone spawned last Tuesday evening. Initially I thought it might have to do with the warm aquarium water- which also triggered my halides to turn off earlier than usual. Unfortunately I was unable to grab pix. These pix of your Torch spawn are excellent! :thumbsup:
PS: watch for baby Torch corals to settle. It's been known to happen in aquariums.

I have had some success spawning and raising torches in the past. Planing to continue the project at some point and have provided my data to a friend writing a paper on the subject. Could I ask a few questions?
What do you use for light and flow in tank?
How long have you had this torch?
Other torches in tank, how far away?
Wild collected vs tank grown?
Where did it come from?
Last water change before spawn?
Temp and other water parameters
Any recent changes that you may think contributed to triggering the spawn.

Light is two 48" PC with two 150 mh. For flow I have two koralia 6 @2200gph and my return is 850 gph. Have had it about a year, no other torches. I think wild but not sure, got it at ARC Have not done a water change in a month. temp is 78-79 ph 8.2 not sure on others don't write down test numbers. The only thing I have done differently is I have been shutting off one power head every 12 hours or so, but other than that nothing.
