Torch miracle

So two weeks ago, my 150 cracked and I had to move back to an old 60 gallon. While scaping the 60 I broke my dragon soul torch in half. I filled in the gaps with epoxy and put it back in thinking for sure it would die. Two weeks later, the thing has just taken off and is exploding with growth. It was sold as a single head but the only thing that makes sense is if it had already started splitting right? Can you break a single head in two and expect it to regrow?

I think you made a good quick move. I have had some success with quickly super gluing lps back together but I haven't tried epoxy yet.
