Based on what ive seen so far, it will definitely be worth it. Im sure there will be a lot more than ive seen, but as it stands, there are corals from many different places and not just Tonga, as im sure many people assume.
Oh and there will be refreshments as well

Ummm. Ive been the only one helping Eddie thus far, but given that he is running around taking care of other business, its been tough. But, with finals right around the corner, its hard for me to get over there as much as id like. I think Eddie will have some more help soon and im confident it will be done by this weekend.
Funny that you mention talking to Sion. He came into the room a bit ago and was surprised at how much had gotten done I assume that he had just got off the phone with you.
I had to go home and hit the books but Eddies still going strong.

It would be great if they just opened as retail but they are really stabbing their retail customers in the back by selling retail as well. Many wholesalers tried this and soon after they perished. Cortez (under the last owners) Aquarama, Saylon (however you spell it), etc.. Back me up here Gresh. If they are planning on doing wholesale as well it won't work. They will only have retail customers going in there looking for a good deal only to find out that they already charge $50-$100 for corals. I can't imagine what they are going to sell those corals for at retail. I am not talking crap. I deal with Sion (and Randy for that matter) all the time. I like them a lot. I just wish they wouldn't shoot themselves in the foot.
Sion and Blue Imperator have zero connection with Eddies latestventure (dunno what happenned to Vietnam, PNG or Samoa). Eddie is their landlord and as such has the right to do what he wishes with the other part of his building, even if it's going to kill Sion's business. FWIW< Sion isn't excatly stoked on this either.
Your right though Matt. Many of Sions locals have all ready voiced complaints and have started to make the transition to getting there Tongan stuff from ASAP. I have no doubts this will hurt B.I. very badly.

If you’re referring to my posts, I do not work for Eddie and neither does Chris. Eddie has treated us well in the past and we were simply paying him back by helping him get back up and running. I am a full time student and Chris is very busy with work, so there is no way we could ever be employed by Eddie. My post was about the quality of the stores corals, something I was able to observe since I was there helping before the store actually opened. It was an observation which I think I’m entitled to make.
Yes, I know the mods frown on that and I assume they were keen enough to know that I am not an employee of Eddies and that I was simply making observations. With regard to schilling, I’ve always understood the word to mean a monetary unit in Austria or a coin that used to be used in Germany. Whatever the case, I assume you meant my comments about the shop?
As much as I’d like to stoop down to where this post has gone, I will refrain. As I’ve said previously, RC and this board particularly, is generally for the hobbyist and the consumer, and NOT for wholesalers and businesses. While I appreciate everyone’s comments about the setup please keep in mind that, while arguably unethical and what not, this will ultimately benefit the consumers which this board serves.
Now, if you are a wholesaler or a competing business, I think it would be unethical and immoral to come on this board and bash a business that is on the verge of opening. No one in thios thread is a wholesaler, or a competing business, so I have no idea where you were going with that comment

Look, i can feel this escalating, so ill end with this post. No, i NEVER said you were a wholesale did i? BUT your comments have been in the interests of competing businesses and other wholesalers.
With regard to talking to Sion, i know you have. I was not disputing that. My point was that further communication about this setup should be left on a person to person basis and not on this forum.
With that said, thanks to everyone for stopping by Eddies shop this weekend. I know he was excited about the opening and being on this end of the business again.
