tr1ggers Fluval Spec V Pico!

The little nozzel that comes with the spec v inhibits flow greatly, take it off and see how much a difference it makes...be careful though it is strong enough to push water over the edge of the tank on the other side since you have the minijet like me.

I removed mine a long time ago. It just seemed like too much one sided flow to not add something to the other side. I could be wrong though.

Yea I feel the same way, but then I redid my rock work which is similar to yours. now i have a couple inches of open sand bed at the end of the tank and the water blast to that end makes the curve and gets shoved towards the overflow. I'm thinking about picking up a fluval or marineland canister filter and modding the tubes to fit into the overflow area and the return to go into the return pump hole. im sure ill have to bore out the hole some but dont know if modding the canister magnet will be enough to on the system in decreasing flow from something like that.

Hey thanks for the response! So I ended up getting this http://www.shop.mediabaskets.com/Fluval-Spec-Media-Basket-FLSMR.htm This was before I saw your response. School and real life knocked me about so it took me a while to check in. I was thinking some bits of rock with the Chemi Pure and Seachem Purigen. But now you got me thinking I am over thinking! So just carbon and sponge? I like the sounds of simple much better. One thing I have learned over the years less in more when it comes to tanks. It seems so weird. I got this tank on uber clearance almost two years ago now and I still have not put water in it.
