Hey guys! I figure it was time I started my tank thread, as I already have it on a few other forums. This is my 5 Gallon Fluval Spec V mixed reef! Don't let its size fool you, there is a lot happening in this little tank. It is kind of comical, over the years I have downgraded in size repeatedly. I started with a 90 Gallon FOWLR then moved to a 22 Gallon Mixed Reef and now I am down to a 5.5 Gallon. Let the fun begin!

A lot has changed since these photos. Lots of grow out and permanent placement of corals. Its been a fun ride building up to this. Now time to sit back and watch it grow!

He is using a Reef Breeders PAR38 bulb.

Updates for this tank, I have upgraded to a new Reefkeeper lite and a Kessil a150W Ocean Blue.

Here is a new Zoa/Paly rock I added to the end of the tank.

I am curious as well. I will be setting up a pico tank in the coming few days and am undecided on lighting... The RB Par38 seems fitting

I switch out because I did not like the color nor the growth I was getting from the light. The kessil has already turned the tank around growth wise and the corals have never looks happier. The old par38 was given to a friend for some mushrooms in his sump.

Trigger I need some advice and help I got the same tank as you and going to buy some do the exact setup as you but. As far as lighting goes I was going to go with that par38 but u said u changed over to the kesser and I was planning on getting the fluval marine nano led which is best do think so far BC I plan to keep coral my self in this 5g so far I have mushrooms birdsnest leather and a red cap still on the stock led bar but bout to upgrade just idk which light to go with need your help
