Treating tangs for ick

Hello all :)

So Im not asking for to much info. Ive delt with ick before.
But I only have knowledge with clownfish.

I bought a juvinial sailfin tang yesterday.
It went directly into quarentine.

Tonight I noticed 1 small white dot on its back fin and 1 small white dot on a side fin.

Going to wait for more spots before I go doseing with copper..
but Im not familier with tangs at ALL. and this fish has such strange markings its a bugger to notice ANYTHING on its body.

Am I right in assuming this is probley going to be an ick outbreak? Is there anything special I should know about tangs?

This guy is extreamly thin. But has been eating like a cow for the last 24 hours

(spirilina flake, red algea sheet, leaf lettece, emerald entree, even a TON of mysis) so I think its going to be ok with a lil TLC.. just need some reassurance theres no over funk a tang may get on its fins

thanks
maggie

you will be fighting ick for a long time since tangs don't have a good shielding against ick; however, if all effort put into getting rid of the ick is successful then you won't be dealing with ick much.
