Trigger Behavior

I have a blue-jaw trigger that I've had for over 2 years. This guy does some serious swimming. He's in my 125g display 6' long and he never slows down. I know he's healthy -- just wonder if any others owning a trigger -- blue-jaw or other -- has experienced the same behavior.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

The Xanthichthys triggers are essentially open water fish, so they swim a ton. A 125g is a little small for one long term.

Thanks for the replies.

Only problem removing him from my tank and back to my LFS is that I have no way of knowing he'll wind up in a larger tank.

At least he has a good home, plenty of food and quality water. When he get's too big -- I guess I'll catch him and sell him privately to a known buyer with a sufficiently large tank.

There is absolutely nothing a Trigger could do that I would consider "unusual". That's what makes them so fascinating.

+1 on this comment. I've had a dozen or so triggers since I've been in the hobby. They have some of the best personalities of all the fish. Sometimes I feel like my humu acts like a dog.

I currently have a black durgeon and humu and both constantly swim back and forth.
