Trigger fish mouth getting smaller?

Ever since I got my Niger Trigger, his mouth has been getting smaller and smaller. I got him when he was 2 inches or so and now hes id say about 3-4 inches and his mouth is really small. Anyone know why?

I doubt his mouth is getting smaller, his body is just getting bigger.

Oh, ok. lol And yes, hes eating. So Niger Triggers usually don't have very large mouths when they get large?

imo, when compaired to other fish, they do have small mouths

I'm starting to get really worried about him, he has gotten much thinner and isn't eating as much as he used to. Do you need snails/shrimp with shells and all to help trim their teeth? Or Niger Triggers teeth don't grow like the puffers?
