Trigger Systems - RUBY36S Question

Thanks for looking!

I'm considering a RUBY36S. Before I pull the trigger, i want to make sure my skimmer will fit in the first chamber. I have an Asm g2 - 10 x 11 footprint. I'm worried that the bracing and socks won't allow the skimmer to fit appropriately.

Could someone please measure the hole in the red frame over the first chamber?

Thanks again.
Brian

I can measure tomorrow for you... but I don't think it will fit there... put it in the second that's where I have mine

Thanks - that'd be awesome! I appreciate it.

I wanted to use the second chamber as a refugium.

Their site says the first chamber is 12″ x 14.5″ - hope the sock and frame dont take up to much of that space.

Realistically ,you have about 11.5 x 9.5 with the socks and bracing. There's a little wiggle room ,but wedging your skimmer in can be a PITA when you take it out for maintenance ,ect. Also depends on the vertical room you have to work with as well. I've been thinking of moving my skimmer to the center section and using the first as the fuge. FYI the center is an honest 12 x13:thumbsup:

why not put in in the second one and run the fuge in the first. that's how triton does it and they have proven sussesful tanks and reasons for doing it this way

Never got a chance to run to my parents house but I'd still use the second for the skimmer and do a remote fuge if you have the room
