Trimming question

I recently made a tank move and needless to say some of my pieces had die off on certain branches. I believe sections were bleached under my temporary holding lights. The die off is not spreading but it has left certain branches dead and now algae has formed on them. My question is, should I trim the dead branches off or leave them in hopes that it would speed the recovery process and provide a "base" for new tissue to form on?

I would just cut off the dead branches.

yeah, I agree. they wouldn't provide any additional benefit to leaving them on.

That's what I figured. I thought maybe the tissue would grow on the branches quicker than not. Thanks

Cut back the dead branches. The algae growth on them may impede recovery of the remainder.
