Well it's about that time to upgrade. Might be a little slow as I'm working on a few other builds for others right now and they take priority. Here is the list of components:

DIY 96x24x24 1/2" Acrylic (Might cut the width down to 20", havent finalized yet)
- Got an idea for a new overflow design I'm going to try out
- Center Overflow with a few dry sections to house the MP40es' and WP60's
DIY 72x20x18 3/8" Acrylic 3 Section Sump
DIY 1.5x1.5x11ga Metal Stand
- Skinned w/ Knotty Alder
DIY Knotty Alder Canopy w/ 6 Total Fans (3 pushing in/3 pulling out)
(4) 250w MH (Two Lumenmax 3, Two ROIII)
- One fixture will be swapped out with a DIY LED Radion Build, if it turns out good then all will be swapped out gradually
(2) Icecap 660's pushing T5's and VHO's for supplementation (these might be removed depending on how good the LED's turn out)
Reef Angel+ Controller (will use my ACIII in the meantime)
Jebao DC12000 for Return Pump feeding all Reactors also
Reeflo Dart w/ OM 4-way for Closed Loop
(2) MP40es
(2) Jebao WP60's
DIY Ozone Reactor
DIY 10" Calcium Reactor
DIY Media Reactor

Tank will be primarily SPS with a few softies and clams. Going to try to go as fast as I can without sacrificing the build quality. Really trying to get a CNC built as well which could REALLY speed up alot of the fabrication that I'll be doing. Build might be a little slow because I got a little one who will be here GOD-willing next week. Here are some pics so far of the LED build that I've started:

CREE XP-E Amber LED (2)
CREE XP-G2 5W Cool White LED (8)
CREE XP-G Neutral White (2)
CREE XP-E Green 3W LED (4)
CREE XP-E Blue 3W LED (8)
CREE XT-E Royal Blue LED (10)
Philips Rebel ES 660nm (4)
Total Spectrum Violet UV LED (2)
Violet UV LED (2)

Channel 1 (1000mA max) - CREE XP-G2 5W Cool White LED (8) & CREE XP-G Neutral White (2)
Channel 2 (1000mA max) - CREE XP-G R5 7up Cool White (2) -> Refugium
Channel 3 (1000mA max) - CREE XP-E Blue 3W LED (8)
Channel 4 (1000mA max) - CREE XT-E Royal Blue LED (10)
Channel 5 (700mA max) - Philips Rebel ES 660nm (4) & CREE XP-E Green 3W LED (4)
Channel 6 (700mA max) - Total Spectrum Violet UV LED (2) Violet UV LED (2) Channel 7 (700mA max) - Open
Channel 8 (500mA max) - CREE XP-E Amber LED (2)

All the above is laid out in two clusters w/ 60 degree optics. All will be run on a StormX Controller, already built a plexi box to house the power supply, controller, two 8ups and DB15 BreakOuts for quick connects to fixtures. The heatsink will be inside a black acrylic enclosure with cutouts for fans and lenses

Love the color so far. Need to play with the StormX controller now. Waiting on my DB15 breakout boards to I can create quick disconnects from fixture to power supply box. Will start on the enclosure in the meantime.

Stay Tuned!

WOW.. I have always wanted to do one of those builds, but have not, yet.

Any video on how they look during color changing?

I'll try to get one together so you can check it out. I was playing with it a second ago and it's sweet! Can control every single channel, it's pretty awesome. I'm excited. Probably order the LED's for a second pendant tomorrow.

Thanks Buddy! Hopefully I'll get those db15's in today so I can finish wiring it. Also hope to build the enclosure for it this weekend. I was able to build my fuge light, two cutter 7ups with XP-G R5 Cool Whites. Man that this is crazy bright, fixture will only be 6x6. I'm not going to use lenses on them either so hopefully it works out good for the fuge.

I so wish I had known about those breakout boards when I built my led modules , I'm sure I would have enjoyed the build more without the spaghetti monster I was dealing with, 6 channels. Guess it's time for an upgrade this summer, much more painless using pre made cables. And much easier to get to the 8 or 12 channels I'm wanting

Yea, the 8ups are sweet, and those db15's are gonna be awesome for wiring as opposed to having to solder 14 pins. Still haven't come in yet :( maybe tomorrow

Got the front/back and side panels cut, also got some 8" Cast Tube for a massive calcium reactor build. Cut the base plate, but decided to use it as the top ring, i'll cut a square big enough to hold the pump also.

Thanks Chris! Pretty good man, just trying to get the business going, working, kids :), and trying to get this big tank built. How bout you? You just got a pvc bottom tank right?

Hi Ram, glad to hear you are back in town (hopefully for good?)

How many kids do you have now? One on the way?

We have our 2 boys, and are done. 2 is going to be a challenge.

Yup, got a new big tank.

3/4" starphire, 1" PVC bottom. Really sharp looking tank, just need to get some muscle to move it into my office, etc.

My current tank is doing well, it has a PVC bottom as well (Planet Aquarium).
