Trio of Perc's?

Possible to have 2 sub adults with mature perc in 60 gal? Mate died and planning on adding a pair hoping 1 would bond with adult and other would be a floater

Usually 3's a crowd, harem success of clowns is usually a larger group and from same clutch, for long term success anyway.

The odds are probably against you but you could try. When my baby clowns escape their breeding box in parent tank the parents do not automatically attack the babies. I'm assuming age and size are major factors for success in the wild because usually clowns move into an anemone with other clowns at a very very young age. They aren't deemed a threat by an established group. As such, Mother Nature is forgiving in that sense.
Most clowns sold at fish stores are 6+ months old and they could be perceived as threat by an established group. If you end up doing what you described there's a good chance one clown will bond with the adult and the other younger one will be constantly chased, even if it doesn't happen immediately.

In large tanks more than a pair seem to works OK especially when there are a numbers of anemones like in my tank. In a 60 gal maybe.

I have 3 BTA so was hoping the separate homes would help unfortunately they move close to each other

Even your tank was big enough it would work. I had a pair of clarkii and Fire clown in the same tank. They both keep to there side of the tank

I have 3 percula together and it somewhat works so far. But the pair to which I added the third is still relatively small. They are also in my largest tank with my largest gigantea.
The third is not allowed in the anemone during the day but rather has to seek shelter in a staghorn acropora nearby.
At night he usually sneaks into the anemone to sleep, but in the morning he is kicked out again.
The dynamic would definitely be different if the dominant pair would be spawning.
I'm also quite certain that the anemone size plays an important role in the acceptance of additional fish besides the dominant pair.
