Tristian's Reef : 325 Gallon Build Prbly Flooding the Floor Again...

Hi Tristan,

Subscibed to your awesome build. May be I missed it but what lights are you gonna use? Radion G4 pros? If so, how many ?

Regards,
Abhishek

I'm going to be using a combination of RadionG4 and 80w T5 Retros. In the mean time...

Plumbing is coming along great! My biggest challenges so far is getting nice tight turns and twists. It's one of those challenges with center mount overflows.

Gorgeous! I know the feeling about multiple trips to Lowes. There were days that 6 trips were the norm. To the point where now a days the employees ask, "where have you been?" on my occasional once a week visit.

Perhaps in a future video, can you explain the overflow that you have?

Great video as usual. I am glad to see I am not the only who has to change plans in the middle of a aquarium project. Everything looks good.

Went ahead and added another level to my monitoring setup of the new tank! A WIFI Camera to monitor my tank and sump area.

So I've been struggling with a weird bacteria outbreak in my new display keeping the water extra cloudy. I think it's because I used some pumps from my existing display and didn't really wash them off before adding to my display to make salt water. I went ahead and added my UV sterilizer Jerry-rigged and inside of 48 hours the tank was crystal clear.

Now I can start my rock scape and water exchange from the old tank to the new tank.

I also picked up 2 Icecap 3k gyres and am running them at 100% to break them in. They have quieted down immensely.

I'm pretty impressed by the icecap 3k.

I am new to this community. So I've been poking around and looking at posts and what not. I'd like to say, you are absolutely hilarious. I had to share your initial post with my husband so he could see why I kept chuckling. .

I had a 300 gallon for years. Then we bought a new house almost 2 years ago and the tank wouldn't fit through any of our doors. What!!? NOOOO! I had to find homes for all my fish that were 10 - 11 years old. I conducted a serious interview process for all my babies. Seriously. Haha. I found every one a good home except for my damsel . He was my first ever saltwater fish and won't die. Couldn't give him away. Well... I was picky and only beginners wanted him. His name is DD for damn damsel. So now I have a 32 gal coralife biocube. He is the King of the Tank now, the old fart. Full of bossy energy of course. Sigh
Mostly wanted to say....I'm jealous of your ridiculously amazing tank. I'm joking. No I'm not.

Your set up is absolutely beautiful!!. I will continue to watch as it develops!! Live vicariously through you. ;)
Take care! Lisa

Thanks for the kinda words and complements Lisa !

Abishek - I will be using a combination of 8 t5 and 4 radions.

I have a 5th radion g4 on standby if I need.

In other news my fuge is plumbed and operational!

My tank has cleared up with that weird algae outbreak I had after adding th salt and some powerheads.

I suspect since I pulled the powerheads from my old sump I might have introduced some bacteria.

I jerryrigged my uvsterilizer in tonsavd the day.

Alright so rock work has been an absolute challenge with this tank. Right now I have been slowly popping corals off the rockwork and droping them to the sandbed while I move rocks out. I should have all the corals off the rock work and the rock work moved into the new display by this weekend.

I haven't started arranging rocks in the new tank yet mostly concerned with moving then quickly but I have been playing around with a few pieces and I'm confident I won't need to drill any rock.

Getting some height is my main concern but as it stands I'm thinking of 3 bommies that kind of fan out.

Tristian's Reef: Moving Mountains Aquascaping the 350

In this episode I show off the "probably" final aquascape of the new tank. Aquascaping can be a daunting task especially without a goal in mind. However, taking my time and not being under pressure to transfer my critters made things a little more bearable. Undoubtedly things might change, or once corals start going in the tank might evolve. Until then I think I will stick with this rock work. Thanks for watching please like and subscribe!
