Just wanted to share the start of what will be my sps garden. Sorry the pics are currently with my phone but will improve as corals start going in the tank.

There should be some easy corals going into this in the next couple weeks followed by a bunch of peppermint shrimp to get rid of an aptaisia problem.

Thank you very much! Just ordered 10 peppermint shrimp that will go in Tuesday and then I will transfer my corals and fish.

Looks great! At what stage do tanks in the large reef tank forum are classified as large. I would have thought anything above 400 gallons is large not 150 but anyway, gonna be a nice tank

I actually tried to post this in the sps forum but they moved it here. Not sure why but I won't complain.

Well in the rules nano tanks go up to 60 gallons so if its not nano then its large..

Ritio. Sucks you have aptaisia. Those peppermints should eat it all up hopefully. Got a fish/coral list?

I have very few fish and Just a few corals in my 40 breeder right now.

The coral list has gotten Lame since my AEFW and monti nudies. I decided to start fresh with sps in the new tank.

Did you already notice aptasia on the rocks or is this a preventative measure when adding your peppermint shrimp?

There are 60 or so that I have noticed. The joys of picking your rock out of a bin!

I'd probably have bought from fellow safe reefers, or dry rock. I've known a couple people to do what you did, and then in a year have aptasia all over again.

Is that LED supplementation on the T5 light?

Yes there are 66 blue led's as supplement light and the bulbs will be changing to ati's here soon.

I stuck a syphilia and a favia in yesterday with the peppermints that needed to recover and they are looking fantastic!

Sorry for the delay on updating this thread. I am moving in a few weeks and its all coming down. I will update once I have moved and it is all set up again! The symphilia and favia turned around fantastically!
