trouble feeding h. crispa

i fed the fish before feeding the anemone and then i fed the anemone and it grabbed onto the food and it twitched, but didnt pull the food in. to make it worse, the female insists that the food shouldnt be in the anemone so it yanks it out, which makes the male mad because he takes the food and tries to feed the anemone

the anemone did look a little bleached, so i was wondering if it needs to recoop its zoox and strength before it can start eating?

you can see the piece of food in the picture, lighting is 10k with t5ho 6x54w bulbs. the nem is 4" wide, it doesnt seem to be stretching out as much as it usually is

If you have sufficient lighting there is really no need to feed the anemone. I'd try feeding it some frozen brine though, thaw it out so the pieces are tiny and let some fall into the tentacles. It'll be hard for the clowns to remove them all as opposed to 1 big piece :)

The Anem should recover is colour if it has sufficient lighting, if it's new to your tank it'll take a few weeks to get acclim'd
