Trouble with zoas opening

I bought a frag of watermelon zoas about a month ago. They were open for about a week, then they got knocked off their perch before I had decided to attach them permanently. At the same time I moved a kenya tree that got angry when it moved also. Since then I added another zoa frag that also closed. They have never reopened, except maybe a few polyps part way. I have a trumpet, some xenia, and a couple of green star polyps that are quite happy. Any ideas what could be causing the zoas' unhappiness? I have since removed the kenya tree.

Get them 'upriver' from all others, so that they are in clean water. Run carbon to remove allelopathic chemicals (coral spit: softies do that a lot). And check your alkalinity. Hit the alkalinity parameters in my sig line: softies tend to like that level.

I will do that. I put some fresh carbon in a couple of weeks ago. I will change it out and recheck things. Thanks for the reply.
