I have been treating elegance corals successfully (whatever that means as we don't really know what the problem is! ) with dips in Melafix. It was suggested by Sprung in Vol 3 as a treatment for LPS with melting diseases. It works well for blastos and has done really well with many elegance corals so far. I'd definately give it a go. I beleive Sprung also has a differenct dip for corals now too that smells very much like melafix, just haven't tried it.

Elegance Coral,
Have you had the chance to try out another Indo Elegance with the Melafix dip? I know it hasn't been long but just wanted to know. If this type of dip works, I think it is such a great method that would allow hobbyists to enjoy a coral that so far hasn't had that good of a track record.
Please keep us updated with your findings.

Sorry to hijack but this might be of interest to some of you.
I introduced an elegance into QT on Feb 19. Slowly went down hill but is holding on at the moment. Last Friday I put another elegance in which is doing extremely well since. Last night I cleaned the front glass on the QT and while I was looking around at the elegance, etc I noticed tiny black things floating around in the water. I started looking even more closely at everything and noticed they were tiny black worms floating in the water, attached to the bottom, on the sections of PVC, etc. Anyone ever have these? Ever notice them? You would have to look extremely closely and pay extreme attention to even see them but they are there in my QT anyways. I'll see if I can post pics later on. Might they be what could be attacking elegance corals and killing them? Just tiny worms not to worry about? Anyone?
