TRu PPEs

Im new to this whole zoanthid forums...been surfing in the livestocks for sale forums alot, just to see what I can buy....

Everytime I see tru purple people eaters.....they are SOO expensive! Something around $40-$80 per poylp! IS that the market price? If so, why?! I know that rarity comes into play.

Is it that these zoas are just hard to grow? Hard to ship? Just damn pretty?! Someone help me please....

are those two PPEs? the lower ones are juvies and the higher ones are the full adults?

I understand that zoas grow pretty fast, how do PPEs compare?

What is probably the most soughtt after or most expensive in the hobby? Would the PPEs be it?

lol.. i will never pay that price... they still cost just pennies each at the wholesellers...

Why are they not showing up at wholesalers then? IF they were then there would be more out there. The only ones you see from on-line retailers are ones that have been bought or traded to them. See as how they are a caribbean morph I think the regulations on the fact you can't take rock and the fact that they would be much to hard to peel off makes collecting then either illegal or much to difficult to deal with.

I have had a frag of them for over 2 years and have had only one new polyp. I know some folks have had much better growth then that.

holy crap, 2 years and only 1 new polyp? thats insane. Now I know why these things cost so much

Man I still have mines for more 6 months and still haven't gotten a single polyp off the frag.

Are you sure? I've neer seen them at any of my LFS here in New ORleans, maybe they were all bought by the time I get there...but i've never seen them....

Which wholesellers are you referring to? I'd like to get my lfs to order it for me from them!

Geez...6months? I've got a colony of fire&Ice....got them in with about 9 polyps....4 months later...its about 25+ polyps, thats almost triple...maybe thats why they are going far less in value than these PPEs....
