OK, these two came with the tank. They keep "burrowing" in the sand at night, sort of making a bed. I was thinking of getting them an anemone, but if they aren't going to host it ... Screw 'em :lol:
There are plenty of people out there with ocellaris hosting BTAs. I've read some people have taped pics of clowns hosting in nems. Sounds looney to me but they said it worked. It's worth a shot I guess.
All sorts of weird things happen in captivity.
I think it really depends. If they are tank bred and raised you have a much lower chance of them hosting, but if they are wild caught you have a much higher chance.
However, I don't know if you would know since they came with the tank.
Another way would be to put a smaller clown in the tank that WILL host the BTA. When they see that the other fish has something they don't have they will become jealous and take it over. I've seen this too many times to count, but never tried it on purpose.
