True Percula pair fight?

I have a pair of true perc's for about a month now. They have been great except the fact they wont host the sebae anenome i have for them. But i woke up this morning turned my lights on and my male perc had a chunk missing out of his tail. They are the only fish in my 20g. Other things are just turbos and hermit crabs. Did my female get mad and take a bite at him....any ideas?

possibly a crab i dont beleive would do that kind of damage just keep an eye out for stressing and infection otherwise should be ok

Have you heard any clicking noises in the tank at night?

havent really payed attention to see if there is clicking...what would that be though?...and i only have little hermit crabs and my percs hang out in the top corner near the powerhead.

The clicking noise would be a mantis shrimp lurking around in your tank. It can def take a bite out of your clown if not eat the whole thing.
