I picked up the True Personifier that was on Diver's Den last week and have had her(soon to be him) in my 55 gallon QT since Tuesday morning. She came in with what looks to be HLLE near her mouth and nostrils (I will post pictures this weekend) and is not showing interest in food outside pecking at some of the clam on half shell I offered. Parameters in the QT tank are solid with no ammonia and very low nitrates and in addition to the clam on half shell I have offered PE Mysis both plain and soaked in garlic, Formula II pellets, New Life Spectrum Pellets, Hikari Spirulina Brine and Ocean Nutrition Seaweed via a clip. I'm going to try live black worms this weekend and any input on what to do to get her to eat would be great.

Great fish! IMO, its way too early to worry. This is only 3 days. I've had lots of fish in my QT that don't even sniff food for several days. If he's even pecking at the clam (THE best food for any reluctant fish, IMO), I think he'll be fine. I don't think DD would ship a fish with HLLE, maybe just stress-type stuff. Tangs and Angels get a lot of it. Nitrate isn't even an issue with most fish, I don't even measure them in my fish QT.

BTW, I see you're from Mpls and your Vikes are 9 point underdogs to my Packers. Pack by at least 14. They play again in GB on 11/14; we'll be heading north to Lambeau to watch the carnage.

The Vikings are not in the same class as the Packers. It will not be pretty. On the other hand, I am not sure anyone is going to beat the Packers in an important game.

Keep feeding clams on the half shell. Live blackworms is worth a try. As Steve said above, it is early in the game for this fish.

Thanks for the input guys, I agree Sunday is going to be an absolute bloodbath, hell I think the Badgers would beat the Vikings this year too! I'll keep offering the clams and the other food I've been trying and hopefully the black worms work. I have had great luck with Diver's Den and I'm hoping the open pores aren't HLLE, but I will post pictures this weekend and you guys can let me know what you think.

If I remember this fish on DD; it was n adult, wasn't it? Adult Angels, IME, can take longer than most fish to really get into a feeding routine; because they have already established a diet that may be hard to imitate-----but they come around.

I agree. They are only 5-2 favorites to win the Super Bowl, incredibly short odds.
I've had the same seats at
Lambeau since I got my drivers license (1964), got 2 more in '84 and grew up in Northern Wisconsin. We're about 750 miles from Green Bay now, but will make every home game this year, and that should include 2 play-off games. A lot of $, but my kids are growing up and my long-time GF loves football. May have to go to the Super Bowl this year, although I don't like them.....way too much show-biz. All the Hoopla on the Saints-Packers game (The NFL season-opener) at Lambeau seemed so out of place; like desecrating a shrine!

Yeah it's an adult female that is in the process of changing to a male, it's about 6.5". Attached is the DD picture

I'm actually going to my first game at Lambeau in a couple of weeks, a couple of buddies of mine and I are going to see the Vikings Monday night game vs. the Pack, so it should be an interesting experience!

Monday night football at Lambeau is incredible; let's hope the weather is decent. I hate the cold now, but tolerate it for a few hours of football. See you there!

Couldn't agree more. I haven't been to a MNF Vikes/Pack game, but I've been there for Pack/Bears Monday night and Pack/Seahawks playoff and Pack/Giants Ice Bowl 2 game(game was soooo cold you had to put your beer on the grill just to keep it from freezing, no joke. And the pick sucked to end it.)

Nice Personifer btw. Sorry not trying to jack the thread.
