I purchased a trumpet overy the weekend for pennies, the catch is its covered in Ba and does not look healthy, it is currently in QT, I have removed all the Ba and of course the the polyps are still retracted. What's the next step?

Pics would help to diagnose.

But did you dip the coral in anything? What type of lighting is on your QT, I'd give it lower lighting to help it recover if it is really retracted and give it low to moderate flow. Possibly broadcast feed some reef roids once a week if you have any to see if it starts to inflate more. Then as it gets healthier you can start feeding it more meaty foods like mysis, salmon or shrimp, and give it more intense light.
