So a friend has just started getting into the hobby, they purchased a 46gallon marineland bowfront and set it up with a HOB Overflow. It has 2 of the marineland reef ready LED lights on it.

I tried to talk him out of purchasing the pectina but he didn't listen and now it's in real bad shape.. I tried to tell him to bring it to me to try to see if i could save it. He brought it over today and its in way worse shape than i had thought. I currently have it on my sand bed in the corner as i don't want to shock it going from marineland led's to radion pro's. I'm not to sure on if i should just move it up in alot of light and high flow or just leave it for a couple days. Also not sure if it can even be saved. I barely has an flesh left on it.

here's a picture.

any help i can get to try to save this thing? THanks

Looks too far gone and I have very little experinece with this coral so don't have any real helpful advice other than this would probably be best posted in the LPS or general section of the forum.

Its pretty far gone but still has a twinkle of hope. Keep it out of the light. They take FOREVER to come back from this state

Though different I had a small acan colony die off due to copper leaching into tank and had only a small piece of flesh the size of a pencil tip left and 6 months later its back To several heads.so there's hope!

Ok Thanks for the help guys. I got it on the sand bed in a corner should I move it under a rock or in a darker corner?
