Tunze 6055's??

Have a 90 gal shallow tank 48x24x18 and wanted to know if 2 6055's would be good enough flow for a mix of lps and sps. The tank isnt stocked yet so could change to an sps dominated tank. I want something that is controllable and in a decent price range. Thanks

Josh, 2 6055 will get you by for couple months to a year till all your SPS growing out then you will need to add a counple more. You should look at 6105 x 2 and not to worry about upgrade... JMO

Josh, the 6105 produce 3200gph, with the multi controller you can control the flow from 30% up to 100%. You can also adjust the flow from the pump as well. I am not sure if the 6105 come with 12v fuse or just the 24v if there is many way for you to turn down your flow.....

The 6105 does more flow than the 6101, the bottom end with the 15V jumper and 30% setting is 600gph, the top end is 3400gph at 24V and 100%

You will need a multi controller for both pumps....

You don't "need" a multicontroller, the pumps work on there own and you can adjust the flow but not to the same degree you can with the multicontroller.
