Tunze 6100.1 Black and Brown Models?

I was able to purchase four Tunze 6100 powerheads. The first two are black and the second two are brown. When I got on Marinedepot there was no color option and the picture only showed black. Is there a difference and which color is the newest? The both have 6100.10 on the back of the pump.

Brown are the older ones. I have 1 brown and 1 black 6000. Both work great.

The 6100's came out in 2002, we switched to black in mid 2005.

Thanks for the reply. Do you think some retailers like Marinedepot were still shipping out brown tunze 6100s in late 2006?

I suppose they could have lost some in the warehouse but the last 6100's in brown were made in June of 2005. They should have all been gone by September, we usually are behind so having pumps in stock so long would be odd. I know on some other pump models brown ones were around into 2006 but the 6100 and 6000 have a very high demand and it is rare for a pump to be more than one month out of production when it is sold. The other possibility is that someone bought them and never used them and returned them later. That happens sometimes, sometimes someone gets a divorce or has set back and when the dust settles they return things.
