Tunze 6100 Alarm went off

I came home last night and the alarm was going off on my tunze 6100.

I turned it off - the pump was not running - and removed it from the water. I took the prop out and noticed some thick calcification at the very base of the prop. I soaked it in vinegar overnight and it is running fine as we speak.

I soaked them in vinegar around 4 weeks ago so I do not see why this issue appeared.

Should I keep my eye out for anything? What all should I take apart when soaking these pumps? All I do it remove the front cover and prop.

Thanks. After a night of soaking its working great.

After looking at that I forgot there was a bearing down there. I pop it out and there was some calcification on it still.

Is it really necessary to take the actual prop apart into 15 pieces?

I generally don't recommend removing the prop from the shaft. As far as the rest of the break down, I would do that at least every other time( every 6-12 months) to be sure the hole in the middle of the drive unit is clear of lime.
