Tunze 6100 Qs!

Hi all,

I just setup my T6100s + 7095 on my 4x2x2. I currently have them both placed in the middle pointing directly at each other. Pulse mode 1.5s, 30/100 and 40/80. Would you guys consider this a good way to have flow for SPS? Is there a better configuration I could do with just the 2 pumps?

I'm using the magnetic holders and one of my pumps keeps rotating to face the front glass (I don't know what's causing it... ie; fish swimming into it). Any ideas how to lock it in place? It seems to rotate freely on the hangy thing.

Thanks RC!

I have mine in the back corners facing towards the middle of the front glass. Pulse mode about 4 sec. between 80-100%, but I have 6000's in a 90g. You can put a black tie wrap thru the hole on the mount to make it stay in place.

Mine are on either side of the back pane pointing toward the front pane with a slight angle toward each other.

It seems like the back facing front/trianglish is popular. Unfortunately my overflow is in the corner so I can't place them nicely like that.

I'm planning to do a somewhat "open" setup. Rocks in the middle viewable from 3 sides (peninsula) so I'll need flow all around the tank.

Where would you put the tunzes??

Well i would put them in either of the ones i marked here 123 or 4
I would lead to 1 and 4 and angle them to the middle, But any config would work like that as long as its angled to the middle and diffusing off the center pane. JMO

Thanks all. I will post in the Tunze forum (sorry I didn't even realise it was there!)

Creetin - do you mean that no matter what I should aim them at the front glass? (even in 1 and 4 position?)

I would but thats just me. It seems to get the best flow spray for me, You may not like it.
The worst you would have to do is move them.
I would fool around with diff configs to see what flow you like the best.
