Hi Roger

I've recently purchase (4) Tunze 6105 and a 7095 controller for my 175 gal aquarium, however with my current setup the flow doesn't seem to work very well. I notice a lot of dead spots. I can't seem to get good wave action, please see attachment and advise.

Thanks

I am not sure what you mean by wave action, if you are looking for an actual wave, the 7095 cannot produce a wave, it doesn't pulse fast enough. If you only mean an alternating flow direction, this the 7095 can do. How high is the rock structure? Do you maybe have a photo or drawing that shows height?

sorry to butt in, but how do you put the pumps in "antisync" on the 7095? Im using 2 6105s on the 7095 and they always seem to pulse at the same time. Also a quick explanation of what each mode does would be great, I feel kinda dumb asking, but I don't think Ive been using the controller to its full potential.

What channels or plugs do you have them plugged into on the controller? There is technically two channels, plugs one and two are one and 3 and four are the other. You should plug one into each set so they will alternate.

You will likely use pulse, interval 1, or 2. Pulse will vary the pumps between two speeds at the rate chosen, each channel can have a different set of speeds. As for interval 1 and 2 the difference being interval 1 will shut off one pump while the other is on at it's max setting. Interval 2 will have one pump on pulsing between max while the other is running at min.

Check out the manaul starting at page 21, if you scroll thru the next 15 pages or so you will find it is pretty well explained

I'm not looking for particular waves, but more of a optimum setting for my tank. With my current setup which I'm running interval 2, I notice at the bottom of the tank there are areas where flows is really bad. I'm the entirely sure if its related to my rockscape or I'm just setting up the tunze wrong. Please see attached sketch. Thanks

There isn't really an antisync mode, what you can do is invert the pulses so one is at 30% when the other is at 100%, this is done just by setting the pulse speeds inversely.

SoHeiX- I could recommend two different set ups to try. The first would be sequential mode. For this all pumps would be placed on the back wall, you would start in one back corner and place the next pump 18-20" away and each additional pump about 18-20" from the one next to it, they should all face the same direction so the last one which is about 48-54" from the first is aimed at the diagonal front corner nearest it. In sequence mode they will come on one after the other with all 4 running for a brief surge. Alternatively you could place the front two pumps much lower in the tank and more toward the front aimed straight across and place the back two a bit higher in the back corners aimed almost to the diagonal corners, about one foot before. I would use Interval 2 with a 6hr interval.
