Tunze 9002 Doc Skimmer

I was just wondering how long it takes for these to break in because ive been running mine a day so far and no foam is atempting to come up into the cup.

Usually foam starts to develop in 2 days but it takes 2 weeks for it to fully break in. If it is running almost silently and the waterline marked on the skimmer is about 1/2" above the water and the screw is open 4 turns or so it should start to work.

I intend to incorporate Tunze 9002 into my RSM soon.
Can 9002 efficiently support RedSeaMax 34g reef tank?

Yes, I am not sure if it would fit as I have not tried but below 35g they work very well.

Roger, have you tried putting a 9002 in the back of a current solana tank?

No, I have never owned one of the prefab nano reef type tanks.

roger, could you tell me the width of the skimmer cup?

With the lid it is just shy of 6.5".

Sorry, that is the dimension of the 9005-9015 cup, for a 9002 it is 3.75"
