Hello,
I have 2 Tunze 9010 Skimmers running on my system (both about 1 year old). Tonight one of them stopped working, so I pulled it apart expecting to find some debris or precipitation fouling up the pump/impeller. Unfortunately, that wasn't the issue. As you are probably aware, the impeller canal on this Tunze pump has a plastic sleeve inside it. It appears that the sleeve has swelled/warped and is pinching the impeller, thus keeping it from spinning.
It does not appear that said sleeve is easily removed if it can be removed at all. Can you recommend how to go about repairing or servicing this pump? I can attempt to get a picture if that would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.....I love the skimmers otherwise!
Ron
